Shehu Sani Reacts As Northern Senators Kick Against Use Of Military Force In Niger Republic

After senators from the north of the country voted against using military force to restore civil government in Niger Republic, Senator Shehu Sani, who previously represented the good people of the Kaduna Central Senatorial Zone, responded.

Shehu Sani, responding to President Tinubu’s request for the use of military force in the Niger Republic, expressed his satisfaction that the senators representing Northern Nigeria had heeded his earlier call and decided against granting the request.

On Saturday night, after senators from the north protested the plan, Shehu Sani revealed the news in a Facebook post. He continued by asking God to bless the senators who had made this decision.

To refresh your memory, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu recently penned a letter to the National Assembly requesting authorization to send troops to the Niger Republic. Nigerians have been vocally opposed to President Bola Tinubu’s decision to deploy military force to solve the crisis in Niger Republic ever since the letter was read on the floor of the senate chamber.

In contrast, senators from the country’s northern parts have warned President Bola Tinubu against using military force in Niger Republic, instead encouraging the federal government to resort to diplomatic means. However, the entire country of Nigeria is waiting to see what happens next.

Senator Shehu Sani’s Facebook page is where we got this information.
