Legal practitioners under the aegis of Lawyers in Defence of Democracy have slammed the State Security Services SSS for arresting and detaining the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria CBN, Mr Godwin Emefiele while leaving out his principal and approving authority, former President Muhammadu Buhari.

Publisher of celebrity magazine, Ovation, Dele Momodu has opened up about the once envious friendship between himself and former Governor Nyesom Wike and how things became frosty.

In an Instagram post, Momodu noted that he was a friend of former Governor Rotimi Amaechi, and one night when he was invited by Mallam Ismaila Funtua alongside Prince Nduka Obaigbena and Alhaji Kabiru Yusuf to Port Harcourt, Wike was very hospitable.

“I loved his candor. Our next meeting was during his row with Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, over the massacre in Obigbo (or Oyigbo). Kanu had accused Wike of killing his people and I waded in interviews with both of them. Wike was impressed with my neutrality and professionalism.

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has issued a warning to motorists, particularly commercial bus operators, about traffic law violations around the Apongbon Bridge, CMS Bridge, and Marina on Lagos Island. During his visit to the Apongbon Bridge, Mr. Bolaji Oreagba, General Manager of LASTMA, emphasised the necessity of following traffic regulations.

Mr. Oreagba specifically cautioned against indiscriminate parking on roadsides, kerbs, walkways, and setbacks, as such actions hinder the smooth flow of traffic and cause inconvenience to other road users.

He said commercial bus drivers must refrain from illegally loading and dropping passengers on both the Apongbon and CMS bridges. Violators, he said, would face prosecution at the Lagos State Mobile Court.
