RESIGNATION: Adamu Drowned In Romance With Uzodinma – Ugochinyere

The Member of the House of Representatives for Udeat Federal Constituency in Imo State, Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere Ikeagwonu, on Monday, reacted to the news of the resignation of Senator Abdullahi Adamu as National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), saying Adamu had stepped on many political landmines by indulging in a relationship with the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma. He said he had stepped on many political landmines.

According to the Punch reports, there has been confusion over Adamu’s resignation since the news broke on Sunday night.

They said that Adamu resigned to preempt a decision by the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) scheduled for Wednesday.

It was also reported that he resigned on the orders of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Meanwhile, Ugochinyere said the development was welcome, and in a statement he signed, he called on President Tinubu and the APC governors to remove Governor Uzodinma from the chairmanship of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) and appoint Dapo Abiodun Ogun, the state governor, as the forum’s chairman, so that the cleanup He called for the completion of the process.

According to him, he is not interested in ruling party politics but is worried about traitors and disloyal people who pretend to be loyal and are looking for ways to influence the president and security chiefs and keep Imo a bloody battleground.

He said that President Tinubu should be wary and should expect more betrayals and sabotage as Uzodinma continues to remain as chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum despite Adamu’s removal as APC national chairman.

Ugochinyere recalled how Adamu and Uzodinma have been fighting President Tinubu since the days of the presidential primaries, allegedly plotting and failing to overthrow the newly elected principal officers in the 10th National Assembly.

He pointed to the Gestapo style in which Adam announced former Senate President Ahmad Lawan as the party’s consensus presidential candidate, contrary to the ruling NWC’s position.

Councilor Ugochinyere pointed out that Adamu’s recent statement that the ruling party was not involved in the election of key NASS officials was another indication of his disloyalty to President Tinubu.

All of this was done by Adamu and Uzodinma and would be dangerous if Uzodinma is not removed from his position as chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum.

Ugochinyere said, “After Adamu’s resignation, Uzodinma is next. President Tinubu must complete the cleansing now and shortly to avoid further obstruction and incitement. Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma can manipulate the mind of the new governor.

The ruling NWC can also be manipulated if someone like Uzodinma is on the move.”
