Senator Oyewumi Praises PDP's skillful Handling of Wike's Matter

In a press conference held in Ikire, the Senate Deputy Minority Leader, Lere Oyewumi, who represents Osun West Senatorial District of Osun State, expressed his admiration for the way the national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is handling the situation involving former Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike.

According to the Daily Post, he believes that the party’s decision to remove someone should not be politicized, as the leadership understands the best course of action.

There have been recent calls for Nyesom Wike’s suspension, fueled by remarks made by Daniel Bwala, a former aide to PDP presidential candidate Abubakar Atiku. He stated on national television that Wike would eventually be expelled from the party.

However, Lere contradicted these claims, asserting that the Minister of FCT is a respected leader within the PDP and has been instrumental in the party’s success in the last election.

He noted that he may have certain issues to address but expressed confidence in the party’s leadership and their ability to handle the matter appropriately.

He said, “The process of removing individuals from the party can often be blown out of proportion and manipulated for political gain. However, the party’s leadership understands the importance of making the right decisions at the right time, always prioritizing the advancement of the party.
