Reactions Trail As President Tinubu Adds Keyamo To His Ministerial List, Replaces Maryam Shetty

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reshuffled his ministerial nominees list, and has added the former Minister of State, Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, to the list.

According to media report, Keyamo was added to the list as Maryam Shetty was replaced with Dr Maigari Mahmud.

Sahara Reporters cited on Friday August 4, 2023 that the Senate President Godswill Akpabio revealed the change in the list on Friday when he read out the letter the President sent to the Senate during the plenary session.

The President had earlier submitted the first list of 28 nominees to the Senate for screening and confirmation, and two days ago, the President forwarded the second list which had 19 names, to make it 47 nominees.

Following the submission of the two lists to the Senate, Keyamo was trolled by members of the opposition on why he was not included in the list despite the role he played during President Tinubu’s campaign.

It should be recalled that Keyamo was the spokesman for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council.

The reason why the President replaced Maryam Shetty with Festus Keyamo was not stated in the report, but the report has elicited public opinion.

The development has been generating mixed reactions from members of the public, and many have taken to the comments section to share their views on the issue.

Below are some of the reactions from people:
