A few minutes ago, reactions began trailing a report indicating that the body of a senior aide to All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, and Ogun State lawmaker, Senator Solomon Adeola, was discovered by the roadside in the Oshodi axis of Lagos with his body filled with gunshot wounds.
According to an official statement released by Senator Adeola’s camp, and sighted by Sahara Reporters on Sunday, August 6, the lifeless body of the deceased, Adeniyi Sanni, was found at Toyota Bus Stop in Oshodi on Saturday morning, after his wife could not reach him on the phone.
It was gathered that Sanni had earlier called his wife to request the details of his vehicle papers when he was stopped by security operatives at a checkpoint in the Berger area of the state. He then put a call through to his wife to help send pictures of his vehicle particulars after the operatives requested to see them.
Part of the statement reads; “Information available to the bereaved Senator Solomon in Abuja indicates that Mr. Sanni was stopped at a checkpoint around Berger Area of Lagos on his way to his home to Isheri by security operatives.
However, his wife became troubled when she could no longer reach him on the phone after obliging his request to send pictures of his documents to him on WhatsApp. A passerby later called to inform her of discovering her husband’s body.”
As expected, the report has garnered quite a flurry of mixed reactions from a cross-sections of Nigerians, with many trooping to the comments section to share their thoughts.
