Reactions After Bashir Ahmad Said FG Has Announced N5B Palliatives To Each Of The 36 States And The FCT

Bashir Ahmad, an APC chieftain and former aide to President Muhammadu Buhari, revealed that the federal government allocated N5 billion naira as palliatives to each of the 36 states and the federal capital territory. He shared this information on his verified Twitter page, stating that the funds were provided to mitigate the impact of the fuel subsidy removal.

Previously, the federal government had allocated funds to counter the effects of the subsidy removal. Under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership, the government has now officially released N5 billion naira to each state.
