Presidential Election Tribunal:Mary Peter-Odili denies claims of "negotiating a pathway for Tinubu

Mary Peter-Odili, a former Justice of the Supreme Court, has refuted allegations of influencing the Presidential Election Tribunal in favor of President Bola Tinubu, as reported by DAILY POST paper. She explicitly denied any attempts to sway the judges presiding over the presidential election petition to show favoritism towards Tinubu.

The claims stemmed from a magazine article that accused Mary Peter-Odili of “negotiating a pathway for President Bola Tinubu” and maintaining regular interactions with justices from the Appeal Court and Supreme Court with regards to this matter.

In response, the retired justice vehemently denounced the accusations, characterizing them as malicious and baseless. Through a statement issued by her Media Assistant, Felix Enebeli, Mary Peter-Odili expressed her strong disagreement with the claims, asserting that they were designed to tarnish her impeccable reputation and integrity.

The statement clearly highlighted the denial of every allegation made in the publication. It firmly asserted that the claims were not only false but also malicious, mischievous, and deliberately intended to damage the high regard in which Mary Peter-Odili’s reputation is held. The statement emphasized her commitment to upholding her integrity in the face of such damaging accusations.
