Presidential Election Tribunal: Mary Odili Denies Influencing Judges To Favour Tinubu

Mary-Odili, a former Justice of the Supreme Court, has refuted allegations of manipulating the Presidential Election Tribunal in favor of President Bola Tinubu, as reported by DAILY POST. She explicitly denied any attempts to sway the judges presiding over the presidential election petition to show favoritism towards Tinubu.

Mary-Odili was responding to a magazine article that accused her of “negotiating a pathway for President Bola Tinubu” and maintaining regular interactions with justices from the Appeal Court and Supreme Court with regards to this matter.

The retired judge strongly condemned the accusation, characterizing it as malicious and false. In a statement issued by her Media Assistant, Felix Enebeli, Mary-Odili expressed her vehement disagreement with the claims, asserting that they were designed to tarnish her impeccable reputation and integrity.

The statement explicitly denied every allegation made in the publication, categorizing them as false, malicious, mischievous, and a deliberate attempt to smear her integrity and well-established reputation. Mary-Odili’s legal team emphasized that the claims had no basis and were solely aimed at damaging her reputation.
