Popular Pastor Arrested With 3 Drums Of “Mkpuru Mmiri” – See His Accomplices
A popular clergyman identified as Pastor Anietie Okon Effiong was arrested by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, with three drums of crystal methamphetamine, locally called Mkpuru Mmiri.
The drugs were believed to have been imported from India and were intercepted during a stop and search operation along Umuahia – Ikot Ekpene highway on Saturday 6th August 2022.

The dangerous drug packed 30kg in each drum was meant for Pastor Anietie Okon Effiong, who was arrested in a follow-up operation at Oron beach in Oron.
The recovered Meth drums were meant for onward delivery to the Republic of Cameroon.

The women identified as Hauwawu Bashiru and Basirat Adebisi Yahaya were arrested in Lagos and moved to Uyo to face charges along with the clergyman.
RECALL also how a freight agent identified as Adekunle Oluwapelumi Paul, 32 was arrested by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA after it was discovered that the seven cartons he presented for export contained parcels of a dangerous drug wrapped with foil paper and concealed in the heads of hundreds of smoked catfish.
