SaharaReporters gathered that the meeting was sequel to the bloody invasion of Agu-Amede, Mgbuji and Eboh communities in Eha-Amufu by gunmen believed to be Fulani herdsmen.

It was gathered that since January 5, 2021 that no fewer than 120 residents of the three communities had been killed by the herdsmen, with several farm settlements and villages sacked by the invading assailants.

Most of the victims of the killings are women and children.
