PHCN Staff Electrocuted In Calabar

A yet- to- be identified official of Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHEDC) has been electrocuted in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.

The PHED’s patrol vehicle number 019 was also sighted parked under the high-tension cable.

In a video that can not be shared, residents were shouting in shock as the official was jerking and vibrating while he was being electrocuted before he went limp.

In unconfirmed reports, the official is said to have been pronounced dead.

The latest incident is coming less than a month after another official of the PHEDC staff was electrocuted to death on a high-tension pole at Army junction, a few meters from Eburutu Military Cantonment in Calabar.

The Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHEDC), has confirmed the electrocution of one of its members of staff in Calabar.

Fortunately, the staff survived.

The PHEDC staff was carrying out electrical works at Army Junction, on the Muritala Mohammed highway in Calabar, when he was electrocuted.
