Petrol Subsidy Removal In Nigerians’ Best Interest — Minister Malagi

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Malagi, says Nigerians will soon begin to feel the positive impact of the removal of petrol subsidy.

According to Channels Television, The minister stated this on Tuesday when he received Governor Umar Bago of Niger State in his office in Abuja.

Malagi said the decision by President Bola Tinubu to remove petrol subsidy is for the good of the country.

Channels Television report that, The minister added that the federal government has subsequently saved money from the removal of the subsidies, which has been given to the states to lessen the economic impact of the withdrawal of the petrol subsidies.

You would concur with me that the removal of the fuel subsidy was genuinely in Nigerians’ best interests, he remarked. “Within a short time, so much money has been saved and part of that money is already being sent to states so that the difficulty occasioned by the removal of the fuel subsidy is already being subsidised, to put it another way, before the smile, the positive of it will be seen,” we have repeatedly said.

Additionally, the minister stated his faith in the Tinubu administration’s ability to carry out his eight-point programme for the good of Nigerians.
