Peter Obi's Petition: INEC's Witness Is A Pastor; He Refused To Swear On The Bible – Akin Osuntokun

The Director General of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) of the Labour Party (LP), Akin Osuntokun, has suggested that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has been hiding the truth about what happened during the conduct of the February 25, 2023 Presidential election; as he suspected foul play in the refusal of the Electoral Commission’s witness to swear on the Bible even though he was a Christian.

Akin Osuntokun had said, “Their main witness at the Tribunal, the IT Director, one Dr. Bayode; first, he is a Pastor, a redeemed Pastor, he refused to swear on the Bible.”

The LP bigwig, who spoke during an interview on Channels Television, hinted that INEC deliberately sabotaged the February 25, 2023 Presidential election. He recounted how INEC’s witness had been asked to swear on the Bible that his narration of what happened during the contest is the truth; and expressed surprise that the Electoral Commission’s witness would refuse to swear on the Bible even though he was a Pastor. He recounted how the witness also purportedly refused to be recognized as a Pastor.

Osuntokun maintained that even though INEC had claimed that there was a glitch in the server, which hindered the transmission of results electronically, Amazon, the developer of the server, has not reported any glitch. The LP Chieftain called for the prosecution of the Chairman of the INEC, Professor Mahmood Yakubu.
