Peter Obi Has Not Finished With The 2023 Election, How Can He Be Talking About 2027?- Akin Osuntokun

Akin Osuntokun, the Director General of the presidential campaign organization for the Labour Party, has questioned why Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 general elections, would be discussing the 2027 election when he hasn’t even concluded his involvement in the 2023 election.

Osuntokun made these remarks while addressing a statement that was allegedly attributed to Peter Obi about his intention to contest in the 2027 presidential election. According to Osuntokun, it is illogical to suggest that Peter Obi would make such a statement at this time since the Labour Party is still involved in court proceedings related to the outcome of the 2023 general elections.

Peter Obi had recently denied making any statement about contesting the 2027 presidential election, clarifying that the attributed statement was false. Osuntokun emphasized that since the Labour Party and Peter Obi are currently engaged in legal proceedings regarding the 2023 elections, it would be unreasonable to assume that he would already be discussing future elections.
