Apology To Jonathan For Subsidy Protests Is Not Needed Because We All Thought It Was Wrong – Edwin Clark

Niger Delta leader Edwin Clark has stated that there is no necessity for the APC to issue an apology to former President Goodluck Jonathan regarding the extensive demonstrations that occurred after the fuel subsidy was lifted during his tenure several years ago.

According to Chief Edwin Clark who appeared in an interview on Arise TV…

“Buhari said recently that if he had removed fuel subsidy before the elections, APC would’ve lost. So he was playing politics with it, not in the interest of Nigerians. I think there’s no need to apologize for subsidy removal protests, we all thought it was wrong and were involved in the protests so apology to Jonathan is not needed.”

“However, the ruling party has failed to grasp the real implications of this subsidy removal. The resultant hardships could be severe, particularly for the working class. The cost of transportation alone has now become an overwhelming burden. People are struggling to afford rent, meals, and education expenses for their children.”
