PDP Has Been considering Options Because Wike Is Still A Force To Be Reckon Within The Party– Source

According to The Nation paper, Nyesom Wike, the former governor of Rivers State, was confirmed as a minister on Monday. Wike listed a some of his accomplishments few days ago after being approved by the Senate for the ministerial position. He also mentioned that his love for Nigeria motivated him to accept the position, The Peoples Democratic Party, has reportedly spoken with a source about this development

When prompted to comment on the party’s response, The source reported that The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party has been considering options because Wike is still a force to be reckoned within the party.

According to the source: “Managing such a situation requires wisdom because the majority of the party’s National Working Committee members are supporting the former governor against some party members who have been plotting either the suspension or expulsion of Nyesom Wike”.

He added that the situation was precarious at a time when the party was in favor of reconciliation and that if any action is taken against Nyesom Wike, it could cause further division within the People Democratic Party.
