PDP CRISIS Worsens As Ayu Is Asked To Resign, Surrender To EFCC Over BRIBERY SCANDAL

The People’ s Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Iyorchia Ayu, who serves as the National Chairman of the PDP, has been told to resign from his position as soon as possible.

Emmanuel Onwubiko, the National Coordinator of the Human Right Writers Association of Nigeria (HURIWA), issued this call in response to reports that four members of the PDP National Working Committee (NWC) had returned the money that had been deposited into their bank accounts from the funds of the party.

It was reported by Naija Politics that the four members of the PDP National Working Committee had returned the sum of N93. 6 million that had been put into their account by the PDP national chairman.

Following the party’ s primaries, a report in the media stated that Ayu allegedly transferred more than N100 million into the accounts of members of the NWC.

According to the report, Ayu allegedly transferred the funds from the N10 billion that PDP made from the selling of nomination forms.

The National Vice Chairman (South- West), Olasoji Adagunodo, the Deputy National Chairman (South), Taofeek Arapaja, the National Vice Chairman (South), Dan Orbih, and the National Women Leader, Stella Affah- Attoe, are among the NWC members that returned the funds to the party.

However, Onwubiko, the leader of HARIWA requested that Ayu resign from his position and surrender himself to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) so that they can investigate him……..Continue Reading
