Pastor Kumui gives a Bible verse that says that Jesus drank water during 40 days and 40 night fasting

Pastor W.F. Kumuyi, General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, spoke to the ministers at the just concluded Ministers Conference, Live in Minna, Niger State, about “The Great Possibilities Of Prayer With Fasting.”

However, the prophet of God stressed the value of prayer and fasting. Jesus Christ fasted for 40 days and 40 nights, according to the Bible, and Christians should follow his example if they desire to see signs and wonders from God. When his followers were unable to work miracles, Jesus reminded them in Matthew 17:21, “Howbeit this type goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.”

Then the man of God discussed the advantages of fasting while advising its followers to drink water throughout their fast. He cited a Bible text to support his assertion that Jesus Christ drank water during his 40-day fast on earth. “After leaving Jordan, Jesus returned filled with the Holy Spirit and was taken into the wilderness by the Spirit. being tempted by the devil for forty days. He didn’t eat during those days, and after they were over, he started to get hungry.” Luke 4:1-2.

Jesus Christ’s hunger was mentioned in the Bible, but not his thirst. As a result, it meant that he drank water throughout his fast because it is practically impossible to go 40 days without eating or drinking. So make sure to drink water when you want to fast. There are certain health advantages as well.
