Kwankwaso Not Your Mate In Politics, NNPP Blasts Ganduje

The national leadership of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has asked the new national chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje to leave its presidential candidate in the February 25 poll, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso alone.

Ganduje had a few days ago asked Kwankwaso to return to the APC now that he (Ganduje) is the national chairman. According to Daily trust.

Remember that Ganduje was Kano State’s deputy governor when Kwankwaso was governor. When Ganduje became governor and prohibited Kwankwaso from entering Kano, their hatred got even more bitter.

However, speaking to journalists yesterday following their National Working Committee (NWC) meeting in Abuja, the NNPP National Chairman, Abba Kawu Ali, expressed amazement that the APC could settle for a man like Ganduje considering his “various controversies.”

He said there was no reason to compare Ganduje to Kwankwaso because the latter is far superior to the new APC leader.

“Given that it was formed less than a year before the election, the party performed very well in the 2023 general elections.” “In addition to winning seats in both the national and state legislatures, the party also won the governorship election in Kano State,” he continued.

Similarly, the NNPP National Auditor, Ladipo Johnson, stated that Kwankwaso was well ahead of Ganduje in politics and warned him not to make such remarks.

Johnson stated that the conference was part of attempts to strengthen the party so that it could have a substantial impact on Nigerians’ lives. According to Daily trust.

“The NWC will be prepared to make tough and decisive decisions to protect the party, which means that anyone who detes from the rules will be whipped in or shown the exit door.”

“In the future, the party will focus on social issues that will benefit Nigerians.” “The party is united and functioning as a family,” he remarked.
