Party Leaders will Buy New Vehicles from the Palliative Money- Omoyele Sowore Alleges (Video).

Former 2023 presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore has claimed that leaders of the different political parties in Nigeria are planning on using the 8 thousand Naira monthly stipend promised by the current administration to Nigerians, in purchasing cars for themselves. He made such claim in an interview.

Recall that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had few days ago, secured the approval of the Nigerian Senate in borrowing the sum of $800 million from the World Bank. According to the president, 8 thousand Naira palliative will be digitally transfered to 12 million low-income households in the country for a period of 6 months when such loan is secured.

And so Nigerian activist, Omoyele Sowore in an interview with Mic On Podcast few hours ago, spoke about the 8 thousand Naira monthly palliative, as he stated that;

“You’re going to see more poor people after the 500 billion Naira is gone down in Abuja, Lagos and other places. You are going to see a lot brand new vehicles, SUVs bought by party leaders from the palliative money. This is nothing new, you know under Jonathan they had their own palliative, Buhari had all kinds of humanitarian woman affairs, what she was doing with money those days. I feel terrible saying this, discussing something that doesn’t really makes sense to me as a person”

Speaking further, Omoyele Sowore stated that the 6 months palliative distribution is just another way of the government deceiving Nigerians that they care about them, adding that after two months of such distribution everything concerning the money will no longer be heard.
