Our reaction would have been different in LP if the tribunaI judgement had gone in our favour– Tanko

Yunusa Tanko, the spokesperson of the Labour Party, has expressed that the party’s reaction to the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) judgment would have been different had the judgment favoured their petition. In an interview on Channels Television, Mr. Tanko acknowledged the court’s dismissal of the Labour Party’s petition and suggested that the party’s response would naturally have been distinct if the outcome had been in their favor.

Mr. Tanko noted that the Labour Party would have preferred a judgment that was fair to all parties involved in the PEPT. He acknowledged that the outcome of the judgment was unfavourable to their party, noting that “every aspect of our petition was thrashed.”

According to Yunusa Tanko, “If the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal judgement had gone in our favour, of course, our reaction in Labour Party would’ve been different. We would’ve preferred for the judgement to be fair to all concerned parties but if you look at the PEPT judgement from yesterday, every aspect of our petition was thrashed”.
