"Our Governors Will Use The N5b Palliative To Help Themselves & Their Friends Alone" – Dr. Enwegbara

In a recent interview Arise had with an economist named Dr. Odilim Enwegbara, he alleged that when the proposed five billion naira (N5b) is given to each state Governor, they will use it for personal purposes.

Dr. Odilim Enwegbara said, “you and I know that our Governors will not pay the five billion (N5b) naira palliative to the appropriate people. They will rather use it to help themselves and their friends alone.”

Speaking further, Dr. Odilim Enwegbara said,”I see what has just happened as bribery of the state Governors because they will not be accountable for what they use the money for.”

Lastly, Dr. Odilim Enwegbara said, “I can tell you that the five billion naira did not go through the legal fiscal policy processes. This implies that even if the president gives each Governor one hundred billion naira each, the problems will not still be solved.”
