Opinion : MC Oluomo should be arrested for mocking #EndSARS protest victims
The Chairman of the Lagos Parks Committee, Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya popularly known as MC Oluomo have stirred reactions following his comments on the #EndSARS protest. Punch Ng gathered that Oluomo mocked the youths who participated in the protest during a solidarity rally in support of the presidential candidate of APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. In his words, the Chairman of the Lagos Park Committee said: “They want to use the #EndSARS protest against Tinubu. Reacting to the statements, the National Publicity Secretary of the African Action Congress, Femi Adeyeye called for the arrest of MC Oluomo over his provocative comments. He lamented that while Nigerians are still struggling to seek justice for the victims, the garage boss is trying to open old wounds in the heart of Nigerians. Mr. Adeyeye explained that after questions surrounding the Lekki event have been settled by the panel set up by the Lagos State Government itself, a high-ranking supporter of APC will make such unwise statements.
In his words, Femi Adeyeye said: “It is quite unfortunate that after the outcome of the investigations has been revealed to everyone to see, someone will come out to make such statements. I think MC Oluomo should be arrested for mocking victims of the #EndSARS protest.”
