A Political Analyst, Frank Tietie, has faulted the way the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, was suspended by the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu.
According to Frank Tietie, it I wrong to suspend the CBN Governor. Frank Tietie used the administration of president Goodluck Jonathan to explain the best way to dismiss a serving CBN Governor without making it a big issue.
Frank Tietie noted that Goodluck Jonathan was careful enough to meticulously explain why the CBN Governor had to be replaced and as such, he did not have to embarrass the entire country at that time.
Frank Tietie noted that the case of Emefiele is the direct opposite of what happened during Goodluck Jonathan’s administration. Frank Tietie disclosed that the DSS should allow Emefiele to speak up about why he is being investigated because the people deserves to have the right information.
Frank Tietie noted that if the DSS has anything against Emefiele, then they should publish it. Frank Tietie wondered why it has been difficult for the DSS to say what Emefiele has done wrong.
Frank Tietie warned against Nigeria being run like a police state because the country cannot afford it.
