Daily trust report that, Senator Doguwa had before emphasised the necessity of splitting Kano State into two states. He claimed that over the past 40 years, they had promoted the division of Kano State due to its size and population in order to hasten the state’s growth.

“We favour splitting up the current Kano State into two new states. This will result in desperately needed development. We have pushed for the addition of two more states from Kano for the past 40 years. We are not promoting it to compete with anyone, but rather to draw in development,” he said.
