Prior to his appointment by President Muhammadu Buhari, Honourable Pantami, the current Minister of Communications, used to be a Northern Nigerian Islamic cleric who was known as a compassionate and outspoken preacher.
The videos of his preachings have shown how he cried, especially for the suffering of Hausa-Muslim northerners. While preaching, he usually called the attention of government to fear God and stand against injustice and oppression. He oftentimes cited scriptures that show leaders who do not lead with fairness and justice would be punished by God in the Hereafter.
In a video that is presently trending on Social Media, Honourable Pantami, preaching in Hausa language, cried and prayed as follows: “May God take my life before a time when I could see oppression and injustice and then cannot stand against it.”
However, since his first appointment by President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, different sorts of oppressions and injustice have been committed but Pantami remains silent contrary to what he preached before.
Northerners have been sharing the videos, expressing disappointment in the minister, whom they said, is not practicing what he preached before.
