Tribunal: It's quite strange that Bola Tinubu visited India on the eve of the verdict -James Ezike

President Bola Tinubu’s trip to India on the day of the presidential election tribunal judgement, according to Nigerian lawyer James Ezike, raises questions. He asserted that the judgements rendered by the judges at the PEPT yesterday were expected because no court has ever removed an incumbent since the establishment of democracy in the fourth republic.

He said, “It’s quite odd that Bola Tinubu visited India on the eve of the verdict,” in an interview with Arise TV . He is in another nation without having to worry about them claiming behind his back that he lost the election. But the fact that no elected president has ever experienced a Supreme Court defeat—at least not since our democracy started—is what I want to emphasise the most. That’s concerning. Additionally, it is challenging to dislodge an incumbent due to changes in our legislation.
