'A Total Strike Cannot Do The Nation Any Good, Tinubu Needs Time To Put Things In Shape' – Frank Kokori

The Former Secretary General of the NUPENG, Chief Frank Kokori has alleged that a total strike by the Labour Union will affect the Nation. According to Sun , he stated that the organised Labour Union should give the President time to put things in shape. He argued that it’s impossible to change the economy in two months as President. He stated further that NLC should be open-minded in negotiating with the Federal Government.  

He said, ”The economy was in bad shape before President Bola Ahmed Tinubu came into power and we need to support him and give him more time. A lot of things have gone wrong and he needs time to put them right. As an elder statesman, my appeal is for Labour to go back to negotiate with the government. A total strike cannot do the nation any good, Tinubu needs time to put things in shape. It is impossible to change the economy overnight for people to start enjoying good life within two months.”
