It should be remembered that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the president of ECOWAS, set a one-week timetable for civilian power to be restored. Meanwhile, Professor of Hematology-Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplantation Usman Yusuf has urged the president against making rash decisions.
Prof. Usman Yusuf said in an exclusive interview with Arise TV that before declaring war, various issues must be considered. He stated that the people Tinubu is fighting for have their own agendas.
Listen to him. “Before any president declares war, he returns home and explains to his people why he is going to war.” What are the tactical, economic, security, and political implications of going to war? What are that country’s self-interests in going to war? The people for whom you are going to war know what their interests are. The strategic interests of France and the United States do not include Nigeria or the Niger Republic.
