NIGER COUP: Reactions As GRV Advises Tinubu On What To Do Rather Than Using Millitary Intervention
The Lagos state labor party governorhip candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes Vivour has sent some words of advise to the leader of the Economic Community Of West Africa State, ECOWAS, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the decision of the union to use millitary intervention if the Millitary junta in Niger Republic fails to obey the one week ultimatum issued to them
Recall that the Economic Community Of West Africa State, ECOWAS after an emergency meeing that was presided over by the chairman, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed in Abuja, resolved to placing some restictions on Niger Republic and also threatening to use millitary intervention
However, since the decision was made known to the public, many people have stated their opinions
Gbadebo Rhodes Vivour, in his latest post, advised the leadership of ECOWAS that is crucial to approach the current situation in Niger Republic with tact and sensitivity. He said rather than advocating for millitary intervention, it is important to encourage dialogue and cooperation between Nigeria and Niger so as to address the recent coup and restore democracy
