Shehu Sani reacts after Plateau state governor said they received N2B palliatives

Former Kaduna lawmaker and member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Shehu Sani, responded to the statement made by Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, regarding the receipt and allocation of N2 billion out of the N5 billion announced as palliatives by the federal government.

Governor Mutfwang had posted a video on his verified Twitter page where he explained that the money received by the state includes a 52% grant component and a 48% loan component. He also mentioned that they were mandated to use N1 billion out of the N5 billion to purchase rice locally.

In response, Shehu Sani questioned whether part of the money that was shared is actually a loan. This suggests that he was expressing concerns about the possibility of the state receiving funds that need to be repaid as loans, rather than purely as grants.

Unfortunately, the provided information does not include further details about Shehu Sani’s complete comment or context.
