The distribution of the final batch of 98,890 Permanent Voters Cards has been launched by Professor Muhammad Lawal Bashar, the JIgawa State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) (PVCs).
In all local government and registration regions in the State under the commission, according to Bashar, the distribution will end on January 22, 2023.
He refuted the claim that PVCs were used by state politicians, made by Governor Mohammed Badaru Abubakar.
Bashar said: “I’m not aware of PVCs sales and buying in the state. Even it is happening, is going to be as of no use.
“With the new voting system and use of BVAS machine it is no possible to some one cast vote with other person voters card (PVCs).
