N5B Palliative: Shehu Sani Reacts After Plateau Gov Said They Have Received N2B Which Includes 52% Grants

Shehu Sani, a former lawmaker from Kaduna and member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has responded to the governor of the state of the plateau, Caleb Mutfwang, who claimed that his state had got N2 billion of the N5 billion promised by the federal government as palliatives.

The governor of Plateau state attempted to demonstrate transparency by detailing the state’s receipt and use of federal funding.

On his verified Twitter account, Mutfwang shared a video in which he said the group had been given N2 Billion. The money, he explained, is split between grants (at 52%) and loans (48%).

He also mentioned that they are required to spend N1B (out of the total N5B) on buying rice from local farmers.

But after he posted the post, the former Kaduna legislator responded.

Shehu Sani enquired if any of the distributed funds were actually Loans.

Please have a look at the response from the chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party down below:

I’m curious as to your reactions on this article.
