Kaduna State Government Vows To Work 24 Hours In Taming Insecurity

The Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani yesterday, assured the the state of his government’s total commitment to providing the relevant support to security agencies in order to enable them carry out their duties effectively, while vowing to work round the clock in ensuring protection of lives and property across the state. 

The acting Commissioner, Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan made this known after the State Security Council Meeting in a press briefing with government house press crew held at the Council Chambers, Sir Kashim Ibrahim House in Kaduna. 

The meeting had in attendance Heads of Security Agencies who gave briefings on security challenges and progress so far while harping on the need to strengthen cooperation between the agencies.

The heads of security agencies pledged their total dedication to sustaining peace and stability in Kaduna State.

According to the acting Commissioner, “We had a full meeting of Kaduna State Security Council as the governor of the state, Senator Uba Sani chaired.

“We reviewed the security situation in the state, we also reviewed the security situation in Birnin Gwari, Giwa, Igabi and Zaria general areas.

“Also, we did the same thing on Kachia, Chikun, Kajuru and Kagarko general areas as well”.

The acting Commissioner pointed out that, “We are going back to the drawing board on issues that need our attention. We discussed others issues of interest that are not meant for public consumption.

He said, “the state government with security agencies are conscious of situations in our hands and we are working assiduously to see how we can contend the situations.

The governor commended security agencies for their overwhelming commitment as far as the issue of security and public safety is concerned across the state.

“We have noted concerns and we are going back to the drawing board to address some of this issues of interest that we noticed, we are conscious of the security situation in Soba and other local government areas of interest,” he added.

He said, “the most important thing is for us to work hard, round the clock so that we can have enhanced security situation across the state.

He noted that, “I think it will not be good for us to be specific on some issues so that we don’t jeopardise effort that are on the ground in view of so many issues.

He added that, “We have met, we have a full house as we reviewed a lot of issues.”
