The former Minister of Ation, Mr Osita Chidoka, has claimed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu appointed most of his ministers, in order to settle some individuals who made it possible for him to get elected, noting that looking at the cabinet we have today, it seems to be more political than fighting the issues we have in the country now.
Mr Osita Chidoka made this disclosure when he was being interviewed on Arise Television, as he was reacting to the inauguration of the new ministers.
Speaking further, Mr Chidoka made it known that it would have been a fair thing to do if things are moving well in the country, but the situation where we are today in Nigeria, we need to figure out who can make things move forward.
He said: “Where we are today, looking at the cabinet I have seen, I think it’s more political than fighting the issue as take. It’s more of pay back time, settling those who made it possible for him to get elected. I think it’s a fair thing for him to do if things were okey.”
Furthermore, the former ation minister made it known that the country is now in a serious problem, noting that the problem we are facing today was the same type of problem the country faced in the year 1985, when Gen Babangida (Rtd) took over from Gen Buhari (Rtd).
In addition, Mr Chidoka noted that while bringing in people who will be leaders of the ministries, the president ought to bring individuals who understand the issues we have in Nigeria today and those who will be able to solve the problems.
