Pastor W.F. Kumuyi, the leader of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, conveyed an important message to Nigerians through a live interview conducted in Osogbo, Osun State. The interview was made available on his official Facebook page.
During this interview, Pastor Kumuyi was asked about his perspective on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s recent inauguration of 45 cabinet ministers and the advice he would provide to ensure Nigeria’s unity, peace, and development.
In his response, he emphasized the need to avoid exerting undue pressure on the ministers and imposing rigid directives on them. He highlighted that these appointed ministers are individuals of substantial experience, having previously held positions in state governments or as ministers.
Pastor Kumuyi expressed his belief that by offering support instead of constant criticism, these seasoned officials could significantly contribute to the advancement of the nation. He encouraged everyone to leave behind past concerns and to place their confidence in both the president and the ministers, anticipating positive transformations.
In his words, Pastor Kumuyi stated, “We should abstain from dictating commands and subjecting individuals to unwarranted scrutiny. The ministers chosen for the cabinet are not newcomers devoid of achievements. On closer examination, each has a track record of accomplishments as state government officials or past ministers, and their selection has been carefully done.”
Continuing, he said, “If we stand in solidarity with them, refraining from incessant criticism at every turn, if we embrace their roles and trust that God will work through them, they can become instruments for nation-building. It’s time to move beyond the past; this marks a new era, and we hold onto the belief that fresh developments await our nation through the collaborative efforts of the president and the ministers. Positive changes are on the horizon.”
