Like Buhari, Tinubu has started subjecting millions of Nigerians to untold hardship- PDP

As President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration reaches its 100-day mark, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has taken the opportunity to criticize his leadership. Tinubu, the former Governor of Lagos State and National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), assumed office on May 29, 2023, receiving both commendations and criticism from Nigerians.

According to Punch paper, the PDP’s criticism follows recent remarks by Finance Minister Wale Edun, who stated that President Tinubu inherited a struggling economy and suggested that the last period of significant economic development in Nigeria was during the administration of former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.

In response to Edun’s statements, Timothy Osadolor, the Deputy Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, expressed strong disapproval. He called on President Tinubu to bear the responsibility for the APC’s role in the perceived failure of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, which they brought to power.

Osadolor criticized President Tinubu’s leadership, stating that he, like Buhari, has begun his tenure in a seemingly clueless manner, leading to hardships for millions of Nigerians. He also pointed out that Tinubu had campaigned for Buhari on two occasions and now, he is attempting to shift blame by citing an inherited battered economy.

In his words; “Like Buhari, Tinubu has started cluelessly, subjecting millions of Nigerians to untold hardship. They have sent Edun to make excuses for them but Nigerians should be aware that the man who asked them to blame him if Buhari failed is already out to tell them that he has nothing to offer.”
