MEET Two Presidential Aspirants Obasanjo Can Pick For Endorsement

The former president has indicated unequivocally that he would not engage in partisan politics. He has, however, been commenting on current happenings in the country. That should prompt him to consider endorsing some of the current presidential candidates.
Some of them have paid him a visit at his home in Ogun State. They’ ve asked him to consider them for consent or approval. The former president prefers to keep his private life private. And that’ s something to be proud of.
The Igbo people are deserving of authority. The fact that this hardworking ethnic group has yet to produce a president is concerning. Politics is more than just ethnicity. However, for Nigeria to be united, an Igbo leader must be allowed to rule the country.
Several of these have now been released. The PDP’ s candidates are Mr. Peter Obi, Mr. Sam Ohuabunwa, and Anyim Pius Anyim. Additionally, Mr. Rochas Okorocha and Dave Umahi are running under the banner of the All Progressives Congress.
Chief Olusegun Obasanjo should consider Mr. Peter Obi, a former governor of Anambra State. Former President Olusegun Obasanjo may be proud of Obi because he is the real deal.
This does not imply projecting Peter Obi’ s name. However, among the Igbo aspirants, he appears to be the most serious. Others are still experimenting with different combinations. Obi hasn’ t ceased talking about his campaign or working on it. That is why Obasanjo should think about him.
And since Obasanjo is no longer involved in partisan politics, he should not rule out the All Progressives Congress. There are various aspirants at the party. Many of them are also qualified.
The former Lagos State governor appears to be well ahead of the rest of the ruling party’ s candidates. In his search for President Muhammadu Buhari’ s post, he visited different parts of the country. Obasanjo should assess the gravity of the situation.
To be sure, Obasanjo and Tinubu do not have a friendly relationship. Politics is about much more than savage antagonism. The former president should keep in mind that the only thing that matters is who can win the election and govern the country effectively.
