She was labeled a “dark soul” among her siblings, according to Afia. After her mother passed away, she was raised by adoptive parents and dealt with a lot of stigma from friends and some family members.

Afia Special claimed that she has learned to love and accept her body as it is because “there is nothing I can do about it” when discussing her condition.

 Afia Special mentioned that when DJ Nyaami inquired about her s3xual orientation “I’m a woman, so I have no s3xual feelings towards girls. I’ve been against that since I was a child.
