MC Oluomo, others return to NURTW

MC Oluomo, the chairman of the Lagos State Parks and Garages and his fellow members are back in action with the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) after their suspension in the South West was lifted by the new acting president of the union, Alhaji Tajudeen Agbede.

At an event, MC Oluomo expressed his gratitude to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his support during their challenging time. He sees this transition as a fresh start for the organization and emphasized their commitment to supporting the governor’s THEMES agenda, particularly in transportation.

“We may be changing our name, but we won’t change our dedication to supporting the governor’s efforts in the transportation sector,” MC Oluomo stated.

He also extended a warm invitation to all union members who were previously not part of the NURTW to join them, promising seamless integration into the mainstream Lagos NURTW.

Omowunmi Aliu, the Confidential Secretary of the Lagos State NURTW, clarified that their operations would remain consistent despite the transition, dispelling any concerns that things might change significantly. She emphasized that their commitment to delivering a top-notch transportation service for Lagos would remain unwavering.

This development has garnered significant attention on social media, with many Nigerians expressing their opinions. Some welcomed the return of MC Oluomo and his team, seeing it as a step towards unity and progress. One social media user tweeted, “Welcome back, MC Oluomo!
