Ten Hag recently disclosed that the Red Devils would hold transfer talks this month in anticipation of possibly being active during the January transfer window.

“Always to use such breaks [is] useful,” Ten Hag told MUTV following Thursday’s 2-0 win over Sheriff Tiraspol in the Europa League. “We have many meetings, we have to improve the structures in and around the club, we will do.

“We will also look to the window in January or next summer already but also to improve our way of playing by making plans and, of course, this coming period with every third day a game we have to get ready for that.

“The players: 90% is away, the others will train proper and for the rest we have to prepare very well and I hope everyone stays fit, return, healthy back and we have to go in and attack.”

According to a recent report, Ten Hag may have up to £100 million to spend in the January transfer market, and the club is willing to support the Dutchman even more.

In order to complete their roster rebuild, Man United reportedly wants to sign a right-back, a midfielder, and a forward.

According to the source, a new goalkeeper may also be hired because David de Gea’s long-term future with the team is up in the air.

Dean Henderson, who is now on loan at Nottingham Forest, returns to Old Trafford next summer, the team also has the option of making Dubravka a permanent addition.

But according to a recent story, the 20-time English champions were considering replacing De Gea with Jan Oblak from Atletico Madrid.

De Gea’s contract is reportedly being extended by Man United for a another year, taking him through the summer of 2024, but there have been concerns raised over his appropriateness for Ten Hag’s system.

According to reports, the Red Devils would be eager to lure Oblak to the team next summer by offering to double his compensation to €18 million (£15.6 million) annually.

Due to the uncertainty surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo’s future, Man United was connected with several strikers late in the transfer window. In contrast, they spent the most of the summer pursuing Frenkie de Jong but were unable to sign the Barcelona midfielder.

Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen, Lisandro Martinez, Casemiro, Antony, and Martin Dubravka were among the players who joined the team during the last summer transfer window, supporting Erik ten Hag’s hiring as head coach.
