Tinubu reassigns Oyetola to Marine, Momoh to N/Delta

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu last night adjusted the portfolios of four ministers-designate.

The Nation paper reported that, Those affected are former Osun State Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, who will be sworn in as minister of Marine and Blue Economy. 

Olubuni Tunji-Ojo, a member of the House of Representatives who was previously tasked with running the ministry, will now lead the Ministry of Interior.

Oyetola’s former Interior Ministry supervisor, Alhaji Saidu Alkali, will now be in charge of the Ministry of Transportation.

The oath of office for Mr. Abubakar Momoh, who was appointed Minister of Youth last week, will be administered today.

The Niger Delta Ministry had not previously been assigned. Momoh was previously assigned to the Ministry of Youth, which is now empty.

Heineken Lokpobiri and Ekperikpe Ekpo, two additional upcoming ministers, had their portfolios changed. The Ministry of Petroleum Resources presently employs both of them as ministers of state.

The remaining ministers-designate continue to hold the positions they were given on Thursday.

The oaths of office and allegiance will be administered to the ministers-designate this morning in front of President Tinubu at the Aso Villa in Abuja.

The small restructuring was announced in a statement by the presidential spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale. The transfer of Engr. Abubakar Momoh from the Federal Ministry of Youth to the Federal Ministry of Niger Delta Development has been authorized by President Bola Tinubu, he stated.
