‘INEC ICT Dep Director Admitted That The IReV Was Confirmed Okay On The 4th Of February’ – Kenneth Okonkwo

A lawyer of the Labour party and the Spokesperson of the Obidatti campaign council, Kenneth Okonkwo has alleged that the INEC ICT deputy director admitted in Court that the IReV was confirmed to be okay as of the 4th of February, 2023. He said on his official twitter handle that the ICT director also noted that part of the regulation of the commission is that the IReV result must correlate with the Form EC8A Polling unit result.

He said, ”INEC opened their case at the Presidential election petition court. Their first witness was Dr. Lawrence Bayode, deputy director ICT department, INEC. He insisted that part of the duty of the Presiding officer on Election Day is to snap Form EC8A and upload it on the IReV Portal. He admitted that their IReV or e-transmission was tested on the 4th February 2023 and confirmed okay. He admitted that the content of Form EC8A polling Unit election result snapped with BVAS must be the same as the one uploaded on IReV Portal.”
