As political observers and analysts continue to assess the performance of the Bola Tinubu administration in its first month of office, Labour Party chieftain, Hajia Nana Sani Kazaure has come out to reveal that her party will wait a bit longer before calling out the President on his achievements.

Speaking during an interview on ARISE TV’s ‘The Morning Show’ on Sunday, Kazaure, who was a spokeswoman for the Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council in the run-up to the general elections, argued that it is too early for anyone to properly assess and scrutinize the performance of the Tinubu administration in the area of governance.

According to her, the Labour Party, as an opposition platform, will begin asking questions and holding the government to account after Tinubu has spent his first hundred days in office as President.

She said; “I am always going to ask the government questions, whether we supported it or not during the campaign. We must ask them questions and put them on their toes. As a party, we have always said in the past that we would hold Peter Obi accountable if he were to become president.

Likewise, this government should also get ready to be held accountable. It is still early days though. The Tinubu administration has only just spent thirty days in office. But, soon, he will spend hundred days on the seat, and we will come out with our questions. And hopefully, this government would have been able to clear our doubts. But we will certainly question Tinubu’s achievements when that time comes.”
