LP Chieftain, Kenneth Okonkwo Reacts After Bola Tinubu Defeated Peter Obi At The Election Tribunal

Kenneth Okonkwo, a Chieftain of the Labour Party and former member of the defunct Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council, has reacted to the judgment of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal in Abuja. The Labour Party had previously rejected the tribunal’s judgment favoring President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Recall that according to the Independent National Electoral Commission, former Governor of Lagos State and National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, emerged victorious in the presidential election, defeating strong contenders like Peter Obi of the Labour Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP.

The presidential candidates of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, and the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, challenged Tinubu’s victory in the Presidential Election Tribunal in Abuja, but their petitions were struck out by the court yesterday.

Kenneth Okonkwo, a Nollywood actor and legal expert, expressed his opinion on his verified Twitter page as also seen in the screenshot below, “The PEPC judgment is inherently contradictory and illogical, and if allowed to stand, it will undermine every achievement the Electoral Act of 2022 was designed to accomplish. This judgment will set us back to the pre-1999 election era when manual collation was the main challenge in our elections.”

This recent tweet by the Labour Party Chieftain on his verified Twitter page has garnered significant reactions from his fans and numerous followers on the social media platform.
