On Sunday, Sani made a statement using his verified Twitter account.

“Food security cannot exist in a nation where farmers are murdered by terrorists and farming communities are compelled to pay bandit levies,” he declared.

“The declaration of emergency on food security exposed the deception about those rice pyramids and the futility of closing the land borders,” he continued.

With farmers being killed by terrorists, in Sani’s opinion, Nigeria cannot have food security.

The former senator voiced concern that the nation couldn’t have food security while robbers forced rural communities to pay levies.

Recall that the country’s food security had been declared an emergency by President Bola Tinubu.

The proclamation was made to lessen the suffering endured by Nigerians as a result of the elimination of fuel subsidies.

Following extensive consultation with all parties involved in the food and agricultural value chain, including the Central Bank of Nigeria, Customs, Farmers Association, and important financial specialists, Tinubu announced the policy.
