Lady Jumps Into Lagos Lagoon After Argument With Fiance
The Lagos State Government have reported that rescue mission carried out to save a yet-to-be-identified lady who jumped from the Third Mainland Bridge into the Lagos lagoon, on Thursday, 10th November 2022, was unsuccessful.
According to PUNCH, the lady in her mid-30s, was reported to have alighted from a taxi after a heated argument with her fiance, rushed in anger to the bridge and dove into the lagoon.
According to the Permanent Secretary of the Emergency Management Agency, Lagos State chapter, Dr Olufemi Osanyintolu, who confirmed the ugly incident in an official statement, all efforts to rescue the lady were unsuccessful, but investigation.
He said “Upon the arrival of the Lagos Response Team at the incident scene, investigation revealed that a lady in her late thirties plunged into the Lagos lagoon. Further investigation revealed that the lady alighted from a taxi car on the bridge and plunged into the lagoon”.
