Keyamo Talks Tough, Slams Afenifere, Reveals Reason Why They Are Supporting Peter Obi
Ayo Adebanjo, the leader of Afenifere, has been criticized by Festus Keyamo, the spokesman for the presidential campaign committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Festus Keyamo criticized Ayo Adebanjo for endorsing Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party.
In a tweet published on Tuesday, Keyamo said that the candidates endorsed by the Yoruba socio- cultural group in the most recent two elections were unsuccessful. In addition to this, he asserted that Afenifere was backing Obi out of animosity toward Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate for the APC.
” In 2015, the Pa Ayo Adebanjo Afenifere endorsed Jonathan for the presidency, and the motivation behind this decision was a long- standing grudge against Tinubu. Atiku received their support in 2019. They were unsuccessful in both endeavors.
In his message, Keyamo congratulated Peter Obi on receiving this endorsement. In his remark, Adebanjo had claimed the following: ” the Igbo people of the south- east have never tasted the presidency in Nigeria, and now that the power is due back in the south, equity asks that it be returned to the Igbo. ”
