Nigerian singer and America’s Got Talent star Kechi Okwuchi has taken to Facebook to celebrate her mother, Mrs. Ije-Duru Okwuchi.
She shared two loved up photos of herself and her mother, one which was taken in 2006, a year after she survived the Sosoliso plane crash and the other in 2021.
“Mommy. Nne’m. Nwanyi oma. My role model for life. I found this pic and got the urge to just appreciate you. We’ve come such a long way. I love you so much, you vampire, you. Ije-Duru Okwuchi.” she wrote.
It could be recalled that Kechi Okwuchi had a plane crash some time ago. She was one of the two survivors in the Sosoliso Airlines Flight 1145 crash on December 10, 2005 which killed 107 people on board. She was 16 years old by then.
Kechi who survived the brutal accident has been remembering the incident, and sharing her recovery journey.
Meanwhile, a few days ago, Kechi Okwuchi has shared the stage with Iconic singer, Yemi Alade.
She has proven that when life gives you eggs, make an omelette out of it. She became a singing sensation as a finalist at the twelfth season of America’s Got Talent in 2017 and she has gone on to inspire a lot of people.
Kechi has continued to use her life as a vessel to others who have been through hard times like herself. She often takes to social media to share her journey with her fans and let them know that it is still possible.
Taking to her Instagram page, she shared a video of herself together with Yemi Alade.
